Amanda Savage

Experienced physiotherapist in Cambridge

About me

I am a physiotherapist who specialises in helping women find and train their pelvic floor muscles. I have been working in this field of physiotherapy for over 20 years, working closely with local doctors, other physios, midwives and PTs.

In my clinic I work individually with women to improve symptoms of incontinence, prolapse, bowel issues and vaginal or pelvic pain. We also help with antenatal and postnatal pelvic girdle pain.

A proper vaginal examination of the pelvic floor and comprehensive review of your full body is a fundamental part of my assessment so that I can teach & supervise pelvic floor muscle training tailored for your specific problem as well as address your core muscle training to help you rehab back to your hobbies and sports. I can also show you how to use neuromuscular stimulation and/or biofeedback devices to complement your treatment programme if these interest you.

With training in in myofacial release around the pelvis , abdomen and pelvic floor I offer a unique holistic approach to those experiencing complex pelvic, vaginal or rectal pain.

New mums can start exercising, right from coming home from hospital following my guided sequences. I have used my physiotherapy knowledge and Pilates teaching experience to create effective, pelvic-floor and core safe sequences for you to follow.
