Geeta Gajwani

Experienced Counsellor / Psychotherapist based in Central London

About me

Sometimes life can hurl difficulties our way and it can leave us feeling conflicted, confused and drained. Therapy can help to restore and reconnect by helping us to unpack, explore and gain insight and acceptance.

I offer you a safe space that is confidential for you to share and explore your concerns. Therapy is a safe conversation, where you can speak frankly about what is troubling you, providing the security that you no longer have to struggle on by yourself.

I am a qualified and registered counsellor and psychotherapist and have a special interest in health and well-being and I'm particularly experienced in areas of Fertility and Fertility Loss. I can help with issues such as postnatal anxiety, low mood/depression, birth trauma, tokophobia, ectopic pregnancy, post-traumatic stress, pregnancy loss -miscarriage and infant loss, fear of childbirth or life transitions i.e. being new parents, loss of career or alternatively embarking on fertility treatments, surrogacy or adoption.

I have worked settings such as the NHS where I have offered my services as a psychotherapist at a specialist pregnancy loss charity and currently offer my services at an NHS General Medical Practice in London.

My way of working with you would comprise of psychodynamic, and Integrative approaches. we would work with both conscious and unconscious aspects of feelings and behaviour, by exploring emotional thoughts and states. This way of working aids us to understand ourselves and others by making meaningful connections between the past and the present. It also aids us to understand and resolve what may be concerning us.

I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy depending on what is required by you and am also a registered provider for AXA PPP Healthcare,

Taking the first step may feel difficult. I understand that and I am happy for us to talk on the phone to start with. Prior to starting any therapy, you and I would have an initial consultation. The initial consultation is an opportunity to get to know each other better and explore your needs and answer any questions you may have in a secure space without any obligation to continue.
