I am an IBCLC and a member of the Lactation Consultants of Great Britain. I trained with the Breastfeeding Network in 2005 and have been supporting mothers through the charity for over 12 years in NHS hospitals such as UCLH, the Whittington and the Royal Free, community drop-ins and home visits. I keep abreast of current research and attend many relevant study days and conferences.
My aim is to offer mothers practical guidance and emotional support in a non-judgemental and compassionate way to help them reach their breastfeeding goals.
I have supported hundreds of women with breastfeeding challenges such as painful feeds, engorgement, mastitis, issues with supply (too much or too little milk), concerns with slow or static weight gain, expressing, managing feeds pre and post a tongue tie division, breast refusal, feeding with nipple shields, mixed feeding, bonding between mother and baby, weaning off the breast, complementing weaning with breastfeeding and returning to work.
Often talking through the birth experience can unlock the answer to a feeding problem and I am comfortable engaging in these more in-depth conversations. My understanding of your experience comes from a personal place, having struggled to breastfeed my first child after a long and difficult birth.
Prior to supporting mothers with breastfeeding, I worked for many years as a person-centred counsellor which informs my lactation practice.
I am fluent in French.

- "You may remember you came and helped me with Orly with breastfeeding back in September. I wanted to send a quick note to say thank you - we've made it to six months exclusively breastfeeding and are going strong - couldn't have done it without the advice and support you gave. All the best, Arielle"
- "Thomasina, I just wanted to say thank you! Thank you for all of the kindness you gave to us and the encouragement you gave me to continue our special journey. I am so grateful to be blessed with her beautiful face at every feed! You are amazing at what you do. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Lucy (mum), Marlie and Michael"
