I am an integrative counsellor and have experience working in a variety of settings, including a bereavement service and a GP surgery, and have worked in private practice in North London since 2014. During that time I have worked with many parents/carers and parents-to-be to help them manage issues such as pregnancy loss, infertility, miscarriage, abortion, and a range of post-natal challenges, including depression and anxiety.
I work on the basis that it is a trusting, open relationship between counsellor and client that is the key to effective therapy, enabling issues and difficulties to be explored and examined. It is this process of exploration that can provide renewed hope, understanding, empowerment and choices.
Sessions are carried out on a regular basis (usually weekly) and provide a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space for us to work together. I see clients on both a short and long term basis, but the majority of my clients see a real improvement in their state of mind within 8 sessions.
