Sara Duffy

Qualified and experienced Integrative counsellor in London.

About me

I am a qualified and experienced Integrative counsellor willing to help you explore any problems you are facing in your life. I offer a supportive, safe and confidential setting in which I can help you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships, and to develop the skills to take control of your life.

I work with people individually, face-to- face, over long or short-term periods and can also offer telephone/face time/zoom sessions taking each person’s needs and circumstances into consideration.

I previously volunteered as a counsellor for a charity that offers support to women and men who have difficulties with pregnancy, pregnancy loss and related issues. I worked at a London Fertility Clinic as a counsellor offering support to those struggling to conceive and those struggling with pregnancy. I worked with women, men, heterosexual couples, same sex couples and single women.

I also volunteered for a Bereavement agency called CCIWBS (Camden, City, Islington and Westminster Bereavement Service) for two years. Here, I supported people who had experienced loss. This could be in many different circumstances – the loss of a child, partner, lover, parent, friend, relation or colleague. We all experience loss at some time and grieving is a natural process.

I follow an Integrative model, which means that I draw from the Psychodynamic and Person-Centered traditions within counselling. This can involve looking at our earliest relationships with our caregivers and how we now interact in our adult relationships with friends, family and partners and also processing the here and now.

I am a registered member of the BACP -British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. It ensures that all its members are appropriately trained.

I am based in North London but am willing to travel within London so happy to discuss individual needs.
