Celia Gould

Psychotherapist based in London with specialty in lactation and parenthood.

About me

I am UKCP registered, with an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy from Regents College, and IBCLC lactation consultant.

I developed my clinical experience in two major NHS hospitals in central London, where I worked on the wards with new mothers. I also have extensive work experience in community based mental health services. My work focuses on the postpartum period, lactation(breastfeeding) and parenthood.

My private practice is based on an integrative model of psychotherapy which means that I use multiple techniques, bringing together concepts and ideas from the Humanistic and the Psychodynamic traditions. I offer short term therapy for new parents who have encountered difficulties with infant feeding and need support. Feeding a new baby can be a highly impactive experience, especially if the chosen method of feeding is not proceeding as planned. I bring an understanding of both the physical and emotional aspects of this to help you through your journey.

I firmly believe that the working relationship between client and practitioner is key to an effective outcome.

I am bilingual in English and Italian, and can offer therapy in Italian.
