Camilla Lawrence

Experienced Women's Health/ Pelvic Physiotherapist in London

About me

Camilla is a highly experienced Chartered Women’s Health physiotherapist who specialises in treating women suffering with back, rib, pelvic and coccyx pain during and after pregnancy and post-natal diastasis recti (abdominal muscle separation). She treats women for pelvic floor problems, such as urinary and faecal urgency and incontinence, prolapse, vulval pain and sexual dysfunction at any stage of life. Camilla is passionate about helping her patients resolve their problems and return to a full, active lifestyle.

After graduating as a physiotherapist at Nottingham University in 2003, Camilla moved back to London and soon specialised in the field of Women’s Health physiotherapy, treating both ante-natal and post-natal women for musculoskeletal pain conditions, and women of all ages for pelvic floor related problems. Having worked as a senior Women’s Health physio at both Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and St Georges Hospital in London, she moved to Six Physio in 2010 to set up and run their Women’s Health service. She now heads up their hugely successful team of Women’s Health and Men’s Health physios, based across all their Clinics.

She has completed a Masters-level Post-graduate Certificate in Women’s Health physiotherapy (with distinction), is a qualified acupuncturist and Pilates instructor and is an antenatal teacher on ‘The Bump Class’ and has contributed to their antenatal advice book. She is a full member of the Association of Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapists (POGP) and having been responsible for coordinating their nationwide program of Women’s Health physio training courses, she now sits on their National Conference Organising Committee. In 2016 she was awarded the Ann Bird Award for her professionalism and excellence in educational development and for her contribution to Women’s Health physiotherapy and the POGP.

She is married with 2 young children and enjoys travelling, skiing and spending her spare time with friends and family.
