Sarah has over 13 years of experience working as a chartered physiotherapist, and alongside her private work at The Havelock Clinic, she also works at a central London NHS Trust managing one of the largest pelvic health physiotherapy teams in the UK. Pelvic floor problems include urinary or faecal incontinence, urgency and frequency, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse and difficulties with sex including pain. Her aim is to help women return to normal function after childbirth which may include helping women to return to sex with confidence. Sarah also treats women with back or pelvic pain during pregnancy or postnatally. She is passionate about educating people about their pelvic floor and uses Instagram (@thepelvicfloorphysio) to raise awareness of pelvic health.
Sarah completed a Masters level postgraduate certificate in physiotherapy in women's health at the University of Bradford. She is the physiotherapist representative on the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV Special Interest Group in Sexual Dysfunction. She is also a member of the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy specialist interest group. Sarah teaches and speaks nationally to healthcare professionals and GPs.
